Bedayati (Debut Album)
I am an Egyptian independent artist currently based in London. I have been working for a couple of years now on my debut album which is called "Bedayati - بداياتي". I grew up in a household where both of my older siblings played classical piano. As far as I can remember, I started playing the moment I was old enough to reach the piano keys. I then started studying music and earned 8 certificates with 7 merits in piano performance from Trinity Guildhall Piano between 2006 and 2013. More recently, I discovered my passion for singing and composing music in 2014. With this motivation in mind, I started researching vocal exercises, vocal coaches and online material. Now, 7 years later, I am releasing my debut Arabic album which is all written, arranged and co-produced by me.

Motivation:
The project I am currently working on is my Arabic debut album, Bedayati. During the writing process, I channeled all of my personal struggles, experiences and thoughts in one visual album. With that, the whole writing journey was both therapeutic and artistic. I believe that the more I dig deep into my own emotions and thoughts, the more likely it is to resonate with other people. Bedayati is my personal journey to self-discovery and self-acceptance through which I acknowledge and deal with my own imprisoning memories, insecurities and mental health problems.
The album is designed conceptually as an hourglass; it is divided into two chapters each consisting of 8 songs. The songs are all interconnected with the last song pointing back to the first, thus creating a repeating loop. Each song in the album relates to a particular phase of my journey.
